Handa Island
Magnificent sea cliffs on the northern and western sides of the island host one of the largest seabird breeding colonies in N.W Europe. These dramatic sea cliffs rise vertically from the Atlantic and during the summer months are home to around 100,000 breeding seabirds including internationally important numbers of guillemots and razorbills.

The Chez Roux restaurant offers some of the best food in the highlands. Part of the Inver Lodge hotel which is located high on a hill overlooking Lochinver bay the restaurant has spectacular sunset views. Booking is advised.

Where else can you experience a skyline that compares to the ridges of Foinaven and Arkle, or classic hills like Suilven or Stac Pollaidh? In places like this it’s not just the eagles or the peregrines that soar. This is the most sparsely populated corner of Europe. Set yourself free in a place with space to spare.

Is just a 20 minute drive from Ruddyglow Park. Set on the edges of Loch Glendhu the bar and restaurant offer beautiful views to the sea and mountains beyond. The bar is a great place for a casual dinner while the restaurant offers a slightly more formal atmosphere. Reservations are not needed for the bar but are advisable for the restaurant.
Falls of Shin Visitor Centre
Also known as the Harrods of the North, the visitor centre is stocked with all manner of luxury goods from Harrods, local quality crafts and fresh local fare. There is also an excellent restaurant offering home made food and snacks. "The Falls" themselves are the only natural salmon leap in Britain and are well worth visiting.

For something less formal, the Lochinver Larder offers a great choice of foods, the most notable being their famous Pies. Situated on the bank of the river, just as you enter Lochinver the restaurant has lovely views looking out onto the bay. The conservatory at the front exudes a continental feel on long summer days.
