Dining In & Around Ruddyglow Park
"Pot Luck" suppers are available occasionally in the off season when everywhere else is closed however if you would like to eat in please do ask.
Assynt is gaining a reputation for being a "foodie" destination as we have some outstanding pubs, cafés and restaurants all just a short drive from Ruddyglow Park. I am happy to make any reservations you would like and there is a local taxi that can also be booked if required.
Chez Roux
The Chez Roux restaurant offers some of the best food in the highlands. Part of the Inver Lodge hotel which is located high on a hill overlooking Lochinver bay the restaurant has spectacular sunset views. Booking is advised.
The Albanach
One of the most amazing places to eat in the whole of Scotland is right here on our door step. Winner of numerous prestigious awards over the years this really is a very special place to go. It is imperative that bookings are made well in advance.
The Kylesku Hotel
Is just a 20 minute drive from Ruddyglow Park. Set on the edges of Loch Glendhu the bar and restaurant offer beautiful views to the sea and mountains beyond. The bar is a great place for a casual dinner while the restaurant offers a slightly more formal atmosphere. Reservations are not needed for the bar but are advisable for the restaurant.
Lochinver Larder
For something less formal, the Lochinver Larder offers a great choice of foods, the most notable being their famous Pies. Situated on the bank of the river, just as you enter Lochinver the restaurant has lovely views looking out onto the bay. The conservatory at the front exudes a continental feel on long summer days.
Summer Isles Hotel
The Summer Isles Hotel is located in one of the most isolated but picturesque parts of Assynt. With breathtakingly beautiful views over the islands, that are surpassed only by the food, and with accolades like Scottish Chef of the Year and a coveted Michelin Star it really is an experience not to miss
Caberfeidh Bar and Restaurant
A small restaurant and bar with a great reputation for traditional home cooked food, a great view of the bay and plenty of real ale.
